1. Parties & Agreement
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a legally binding agreement between you (the user) and VEDAA LTD (trading as Playofy), a company incorporated in England and Wales (company number 17009847), with registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
By creating an account, accessing the Playofy website or app, or booking a game, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
- check_circleYou must be at least 18 years old to create an account and make bookings.
- check_circleYou must have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract under the laws of your jurisdiction.
- check_circleYou must not be prohibited from using the platform under applicable laws of the UK, India, or your country of residence.
- check_circleCorporate accounts must be authorised by a representative with binding authority.
Safeguarding
Playofy is an adults-only platform (18+). We operate an explicit age confirmation gate at registration. If you become aware of any safeguarding concern or misconduct involving minors or vulnerable adults, please report it immediately to support@playofy.com.
3. Your Account
- personYou are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account.
- personYou must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information.
- personYou must notify us immediately at support@playofy.com of any unauthorised access.
- personOne person may not hold multiple active accounts without our prior written consent.
4. Our Services
Playofy provides an online marketplace and management platform that enables:
- sports_soccerDiscovery and booking of football and futsal games at partner venues.
- sports_soccerTeam and game management tools for organisers.
- sports_soccerPlatform tools for game organisers to schedule, manage, and communicate with players.
Important: Playofy is a platform — not a venue operator. The contractual relationship for physical use of any venue is between you and the venue operator. We are not responsible for the physical condition of venues, equipment, or any injuries sustained during play.
infoPlayofy facilitates bookings and platform management services only. Playofy does not operate as a bank, escrow service, payment institution or e-money provider.
infoSome public or community games require a minimum number of players to proceed. If the required number of players is not reached, the game may be cancelled or rescheduled. Affected players will be notified and refunded in accordance with Section 6.
5. Bookings & Payments
- receiptA booking is confirmed when you receive a booking confirmation email from us. Until then, no contract has been formed.
- receiptAll prices are displayed inclusive of applicable taxes. Prices shown in GBP (£) for UK users and INR (₹) for Indian users where applicable.
- receiptPayments are securely processed by trusted PCI-DSS compliant third-party payment providers, including Stripe. We do not store card details. We may suspend, decline or cancel bookings involving suspicious activity, misuse of the platform, incorrect pricing or possible fraud.
- receiptWe reserve the right to correct pricing errors. If a price error affects your booking, we will contact you and offer a refund or the corrected price.
- receiptA VAT receipt (UK) or GST invoice (India) will be provided on request.
- receiptFunds collected for bookings are held and processed by Stripe, our payment processor. Playofy does not hold payment float on its own accounts. Settlement to organisers (where applicable) is subject to Stripe's standard settlement timelines.
6. Cancellations & Refunds

Player-initiated cancellation credits are applied to your Game Credit instantly. For matches cancelled by the organiser or venue, funds are returned to the original payment method within 3–5 business days. UK consumers retain statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 regardless of this policy.
Game Credits
Game Credits have no cash value, are non-transferable, cannot be redeemed or withdrawn as cash, and may only be used for eligible future bookings on Playofy. Game Credits expire 12 months after issuance unless otherwise stated at the time of award. Game Credits qualify as a limited network instrument under Schedule 1 of the Payment Services Regulations 2017 and are not subject to the Electronic Money Regulations 2011.
7. User Conduct
You agree not to use Playofy to:
- cancelProvide false identity or payment information.
- cancelEngage in harassment, abuse, or discrimination against any user, venue operator, or Playofy staff.
- cancelCircumvent, disable, or interfere with platform security features.
- cancelScrape, crawl, or data-mine the platform without written consent.
- cancelViolate any applicable law, including the UK Computer Misuse Act 1990 or India's IT Act 2000.
- cancelUse the platform for any commercial purpose without our prior written consent.
- cancelFalsely dispute payments, abuse refunds, or misuse Game Credits or promotions.
Breach of this clause may result in immediate account suspension and, where applicable, referral to law enforcement.
Inclusive Sport Commitment
Playofy is committed to inclusive sport. We do not tolerate discrimination on the grounds of race, sex, disability, age, religion or belief, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010. Any user found to have engaged in discriminatory conduct may be permanently suspended from the platform.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on Playofy — including the logo, design, text, graphics, software, and database — is owned by or licensed to VEDAA LTD and is protected by intellectual property laws in the UK and India.
You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to access and use the platform for its intended purpose. You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
Content you submit (e.g. profile photos, reviews) remains yours. You grant us a non-exclusive worldwide licence to use it for operating and improving the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
Subject to the above, our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
We are not liable for: loss of profits, loss of data, indirect or consequential losses, or losses arising from third-party services (including payment processors or venue operators).
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the platform and are not responsible for delays, cancellations or service issues caused by maintenance, third-party failures, or things outside our control, such as bad weather, internet outages, venue closures, technical problems, strikes or government restrictions.
health_and_safetySports Insurance: Playofy does not provide personal accident or sports liability insurance. We strongly recommend that all players hold appropriate personal sports insurance before participating in any game arranged through the platform.
warningAssumption of Risk: By participating in sports activities arranged through Playofy, you acknowledge and accept the inherent physical risks of sport, including the risk of injury. You voluntarily assume all such risks and agree that Playofy is not liable for injuries sustained during play, except where caused by our own negligence.
10. Consumer Rights — United Kingdom
- verifiedOur digital services are provided with reasonable care and skill as required by the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- verifiedUnder the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you have a 14-day cooling-off period for digital services. However, by requesting immediate access to the platform you acknowledge performance has begun and waive this right where the service has been fully provided.
- verifiedAny term that is deemed unfair under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 shall be severed from these Terms and will not affect the remaining provisions.
- verifiedYou may refer unresolved disputes to certified Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) providers where applicable.
11. Consumer Rights — India
- verifiedIndian users are entitled to consumer protection under the Consumer Protection Act 2019, including rights against unfair trade practices and deficient services.
- verifiedWe comply with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules 2020, including displaying grievance officer details, providing invoice records, and maintaining a refund mechanism.
- verifiedGrievance Officer: support@playofy.com — we acknowledge grievances within 48 hours of receipt and aim to resolve most issues promptly.
- verifiedUnresolved disputes may be escalated to the relevant District Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission or the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission (NCDRC).
- verifiedAs an intermediary under the IT Act 2000, Playofy complies with the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021.
12. Termination
- logoutBy you: You may close your account at any time by contacting us. Active bookings will be honoured or refunded per Section 6.
- logoutBy us: We may suspend or terminate your account immediately for breach of these Terms, fraudulent activity, or as required by law, with notice where practicable.
- logoutUpon termination, your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales, except where you are a consumer entitled to bring proceedings in your local courts.
For users in India, these Terms shall additionally be governed by Indian law. Nothing in this clause affects the rights of Indian consumers under the Consumer Protection Act 2019 to approach appropriate consumer courts in India.
14. Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us first at support@playofy.com to resolve any dispute informally. Most issues can be resolved within 5 business days.
- balanceUK users: may use certified ADR providers or the Ombudsman Services.
- balanceIndian users: unresolved grievances may be referred to the Consumer Helpline (1800-11-4000) or the National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission.
15. Amendments
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in our services or applicable law. For material changes, we will provide at least 14 days' notice by email or in-app notification. Continued use of the platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance. If you do not agree, you may close your account before the changes take effect.
